1) British Partner or Partner to be

They must have proof of permanent residence. If you want to apply for citizenship in the UK, you need to provide proof of your marriage to a British citizen. Moreover, you should be living together with your partner for at least 2 years.
2) Documents
There is a whole list of documents required to proceed with the process of attaining a spouse visa in the UK. First of all, you need to have proof of identity. Secondly, you should be able to provide proof of address. Moreover, proof of relationship has to be given, that’s a no-brainer. 3) Fee Charges
The application cost that must be paid to the home office of the UK is divided into two categories. If entry clearance fee, if you apply from outside the UK would turn out to be around £1500. However, if you apply for it from within the UK, you’ll be required to pay around £1000. Some people also want to bring their children along as dependents. Their fee would also be the same in case of applying from outside/inside of the UK.
4) Additional Fee
There is an additional fee to apply for the UK spouse visa as well. There is something known as the immigration health surcharge. You’ll be required to pay £400 per year. If you apply for a UK visa of 2.5 years from outside the UK, the fee would be £1200. On the other hand, if you apply for it from inside of UK, you’ll have to pay a sum of £1000.
